'Mass chaos': 37,000 nursing home eviction notices prepared in Louisiana

Louisiana's Department of Health is preparing to send eviction notices to about 37,000 nursing home and other long-term care residents who could lose Medicaid coverage under the current budget.

Bob Johannessen, a spokesman for Department of Health, told The News Star that the goal of the eviction notices is to notify anyone who could be affected as soon as possible “in order that they begin developing their appropriate plans.”

"Something could happen to put it on hold, but everything is ready," he said.

The governor of Louisiana will call off the evictions as soon as the Legislature gets their obedience training.
Am I reading that correctly?

Will they just wheel everybody whose families won't or can't take them out of the nursing homes and put them on the sidewalk? Surely even these days that can't happen.

Of course, that's what I would have thought about putting children in concentration camps, so....

was media not covering the important stuff...just squirrels...he is also gonna take trillions away from SS, Disability, all the programs. And reorganize all Govt agencies. We are in deep trouble, and media wants to talk about us being mean to Rs....

I live in WI and we are way ahead of you guys in cruelty...Rs here cut cut cut ...we had folks in wheelchairs testify. Rs look the other way. And when R majority is over 30 and Walker is Gov all gets passed.
