The stories, written by mainstream journalists with lots of DC experience, regarding the transition make it clear that like most of the Trump transition team, when McGahn met with his counterpart from the Obama administration, the impression given to the incumbent person was that this guy is totally outside of his depth and has no clue what he is walking into.

What his personal legal liability is now, and how willingly he embraces such risks versus protecting himself and throwing others upon the tracks.... I don't know. Can he thread the needle and walk away unscathed? Or will he go down with this ship? He clearly isn't self-aware nor self-protective enough to resign. That is not a good sign.
