Billy Elliot 'gay propaganda' row exposes purge in Hungary
The attack on the head of the Hungarian State Opera was both crude and unexpected. And it came from the mouthpiece of the ruling Fidesz party, Magyar Idok.

The article points out it's not the whole of the Fidesz party doing this - the PM Viktor Orban is a supporter of the opera. But there's a significant faction acting like Goebbels. And this has hit ticket sales for the Billy Elliot musical, as schools stay away from a controversial subject.
