Supreme Court voids part of crisis pregnancy center law

NOTE: THIS ONE IS FOR ALL THOSE WHO THREW A TANTRUM AND REFUSED TO VOTE IN 2016.

The Supreme Court says a California law that forces anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers to provide information about abortion probably violates the Constitution.

The 5-4 ruling Tuesday also casts doubts on similar laws in Hawaii and Illinois.

The California law took effect in 2016. It requires centers that are licensed by the state to tell clients about the availability of contraception, abortion and pre-natal care, at little or no cost.

Centers that are unlicensed have to post a sign that said so. The court struck down that portion of the law.

Freedom of expression doesn't include freedom to deceive and/or to lie.

Hell, the Feds are making Planned Parenthood not say anything about abortion and/or contraception. What about THEIR freedom of expression?

for the highminded purity police who simply couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary ON THIS ISSUE ALONE. I'm actually more pissed at them because the trump humpers are imbeciles and these people are supposed to know better.

Unless the lie creates a danger like crying fire in a crowded theater to cause a panic knowing there isn't a fire, it's perfectly legal to lie in most circumstances.

What if you're a teen without the benefit of sex education, you do to these centers to get advice, and you end up pregnant and then no option but to become a mother against your will? You AND the baby suffer because of a lie.

Or you contract a STD because you weren't given information to protect yourself except don't have sex?

to save her life, then, isn't that considered a danger? And withholding information to her about abortion services isn't considered a danger to her?

it's about the fake clinics that try to talk people out of abortion that's at issue.

thanks to this decision, they're free to lie, to not even mention abortion, and they don't have to post a sign saying they're not licensed.

That should be required to protect the health of the mother and the unborn that right to lifers always use to justify TRAP laws.

Otherwise they should have to post a disclaimer stating they are not medical professionals and therefore can give no medical advice or referrals, and only can legally offer emotional and non medical support.
