DU POLL: My worst fear is Trump is being normalized, the boiling frog and Stockholm syndrome. And

millions of Americans are aloof. DU is unique, but I think millions of Americans have no idea WTF is going on. Hopefully they will GOTV in the mid-terms and not fall for the propaganda. The SCOTUS decision today was shocking. I am damn afraid fascism is growing in the US and checks/balances are failing. Far too many Americans IMO are easily led, lacking critical thinking about WTF is occurring. Hopefully the mid-terms will prove me completely wrong!!! IF the GOP maintains a complete hold after the mid-terms, IMO we are really in deep shit as a country!

My wife was very unpolitical until Hillary ran in 2016. She got very into the election. When went to see Hillary give a speech.

Today she is back to getting angry with me if I bring up politics.

She always votes but the primaries this month got very little attention from her until she had to fill out her ballot, That is the way it was before Hillary ran.

And my travels with a nationwide camping group and my volunteering with high school age youths I meet a lot of people across the spectrum.

The one thing I hear repeatedly is that people are pissed off and can't stand what's going on in our country, they are very vocal about it even in overheard conversations.

The young people I oversee are very vocal about what's going on especially since the children separated and put into cages debacle started up.

I have never initiated a conversation but just sit back and listen, the conversation always turns to trump and the world he's trying to destroy.

A lot of the older people are conservative but that is the way they were raised, this doesn't preclude them from knowing we are heading in a horrible direction.

My personal friends from a WWII tail gunner in B-29's to a 15 year old youth have the same message.

They are PISSED OFF, and they will be voting to bring this to an end, at least the voting age ones and the younger ones are already waiting till they can vote.

My opinion on this is from the last year of conversations and they are angrier each day.

This gives me hope and allows me to sleep at night.

November is on the way.
