I took care of some plots this past Memorial Day, but it's getting awfully difficult to acknowledge where we are as a nation.

I'm pretty ashamed of my country.

The folks there are all liberals like us, so we can have fun, party and shit talk about drumpf at the same time. We, however, decided to forgo fireworks, too celebratory in this current fucked up environment.

First year my son will be able to recognize the big booms!

Family! Pool Party! Cookout! Blowing money up mid-air!

America! Fuck yeah! I'm going to be knee-deep in it.

it is not a very happy time in America for we the people. Trumpism is poison that will be as hard to rid as Hitlerism. With no party leadership we are in dire straights, LOOKING FOR OUR LEADER, please step forward!

I'm going to be 60 in a year and a half; 6 and a half years 'till I'm able to collect Social Security.
Thanks to GOP Plantation Economy policies since the Reagan years, I don't have anything other than that and a military pension - if that's still around in a year and a half for Reservists who aren't collecting yet - to retire on.

But it's pretty obvious I - and anyone else in my near generation and those following who didn't make 6 figures a year in their early 30's- not just a "good enough" American Citizens to be allowed to retire or enjoy the fruits of their labor.

We're untermenschen, dirt people. Just like Russians or third world country denizens who end up economic refugees. Doesn't matter if we're in flyover rural areas or brightly lit urban areas, black or white or in-between. We don't make enough to buy our citizenship, respect from our government, or protection from the Mafia-style enforcement class the GOP promotes.

we need to really get these thugs out, our forefathers must be rolling in their graves.

“A Republic, if you can keep it.”

Sadly, we have domestic enemies killing it.

to fight teeth and claws to throw the Fascist out.

I think I’ll opt for the latter. I’ve never given up or given in to bullies. Fuckem is my usual motto and battle cry.

Besides, for the past 15 years, I've worked on the 4th, twisting balloons for various celebrations. I just booked my third gig for the day (and have room for one more) and am quite excited about it because it's a pancake-sausage breakfast so Ima getting fed. I'll dress the part - my normal outfit is a 1920s carnival barker so the boater hat recalls a distant time in America's history, and I sew my own vests to have different themes and will be wearing my red, white, and blue ones, but it's all about paying my rent.
