Question: Does the intern get back her Congressional intern ID badge after her suspension is completed or is she relegated to something even less?

(11,760 posts)She was not jailed and she was not even fired. She would likely have been dealt with similarly if she would have yelled "Fuck you" at any other person on the Hill.
Citizens have a right to redress grievances with the government, but that does not include getting to keep an internship without disciplinary action for the breech of professional conduct. I know that Cheney said, "go fuck yourself" to Pat Leahy but he was not a Senator and there aren't any rules regulating the behavior like there are for Congressional Staff.
