help me remember: what happened in 1st half of May 2018?

i ask because Trump's net negative dropped by 5 points in the 2nd week (and still hasn't recovered). what happened to change opinion back then? i consider it a noticeable step up in normalizing Trump's authoritarianism. what happened to suddenly make him more palatable to the public?

what was happening back then? it's only 6 - 8 weeks ago, but finding a good source of headlines from that time period is proving difficult (lots of phony, weak aggregation sites coming up in the search)

or maybe it wasn't event-based; maybe there's a certain amount of exposure after which something is just considered normal and healthy?

-- EDIT --
wikipedia to the rescue, again. gotta remember to donate this year.

the only thing that really stands out in that time frame is Trump withdrawing us from the Iran nuclear agreement. yep, looks like that was all it took to bump him 5-points (net) in national polls.

i guess you could make an argument that it helped keep his positives up, but i'm not too sure about that.

I think a lot of stuff on the Russia investigation and Cohen was happening around this time. Here it "WTF Happened Today" from that time to jolt the memory...

it's like we have too much information about current events to keep track of recent past ones.
the wtf site is pretty nice, going through it right now

they don't seem to have a date search widget so we have to fiddle around with the URL ourselves. still looks like Iran nuke deal pullout is Trump's "winning" ingredient, cos i'm not seeing anything else that would do it.

Every week there is a new overarching major trump disaster with minor ones (usually tweet induced) daily. A b1 and b2 disaster created by one of the people in his cabinet of flunkies. A lawsuit from one state or another about something one of them did. The international trump story which may or may not be be the A slot weekly trump disaster. Then there is the twice a week induced idiocy in his supporters where they go off and do whatever evil ass thing. Oh, let's not forget the bimonthly boot lick for whichever nation is his dom of the moment.
