Mike Huckabee Claims Protests of Trump Officials Show Left's 'Hatred of Women'

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee accused the left of engaging in “sexism” and “misogyny” in their efforts to protest against Trump administration officials.

While appearing on Fox News with Laura Ingraham Tuesday night, Huckabee pointed to protesters confronting White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Department of Homeland Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, and other women to support his cries of “hatred of women.” After Ingraham showed him the video of protesters shouting at Chao and her husband Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Huckabee took off:

“Laura, isn’t it interesting that all that the people target typically are women. For the most part — it’s Melania, it’s Ivanka, it’s Sarah, it’s Pam Bondi, it’s Kirstjen Nielsen, Elaine chow. What is it with these people? It’s misogyny, it’s sexism, it’s hatred of women. And I think it oughta’ to be clear to America. I hope they see it, I hope they recognize it, and I hope they thoroughly reject it.”

Of course, Huckabee did not note that Chao was only approached by protesters because of who her husband is — the highest ranking member of the most powerful legislative body in the country. As for the other examples presented, anyone in or associated with the Trump administration is no stranger to attacks, due to the controversy that surrounds the White House.
