The scumbag never voted with us on anything of consequence in the last 10 years anyway. We're not losing a thoughtful,fair thinker. Just inserting another ditto head in his place. The 5-4 majority is maintained.....for now.

plus kennedy being on the fence had more of an impact than you might think.
it affected which cases they took up.
with a reliable strongly right-wing asshole in that seat, the new court will be emboldened to take up different cases and use them to things much further to the right.

going by roberts extreme dissent in that case, its now on life support. The issue will likely go back to the states and DOMA is not going back so its not the end of the world for those living in blue states.
