There's a reason they're waiting till fall to hold the vote instead of doing it over the summer.

they'll spin it to their voters. Right before the mid-terms. The Blue Wave relies in part on Repub voter complacency or disgust. But "obstruction" by the Dems will probably rile them up and get them to the polls.

If the Dems don't slow it, that's also fine wiht them. They get their ace in the hole, and the future of the country is changed forever.

Checkmate.

We should obstruct.

This is an L. Period. The votes aren't there. Beyond that, if it drags into the fall, you'll have every fundamentalist moonbat from Bugtussle to Bumblfuck dragging their dicks over 12 miles of broken glass to vote in November, blunting any advantage Dems might have with enthusiasm.

So the Dems might as well go down fighting.

The future of the country will change forever, with the appointment of another Repub justice, esp appointed by Trump. No more unions, Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, protections for immigrant children, environmental protections, national park protections, etc.

The USCT will rubber stamp the Trump Party.

and vigorously debate it on the floor, but the sooner that it happens the better. This is a no win situation. Point out the utter hypocrisy, but the die was cast in 2016.

The time to get nasty will be during the election. Fire up the base. Direct the energy there.

The Democratic Party needs a real strategy to dominate the elections.
Our strengths are also our biggest weaknesses. No more of this
kumbaya nonsense - we got to focus and fight together.
C'mon. We're liberals and we stand for great things. Without apology.
Things that will improve everyone's lives. Fox and Trumps have
cluttered their minds with lies and nonsense and people don't
believe us so much right now. We need to convince them,
persuasively, tangibly, overwhelmingly or it's over.

You cannot stop him from nominating someone even if he had impeachment charges pending against him in the House and he was in the middle of the Senate trial. In fact he could pardon every US citizen of every federal crime that they committed to that point.

Let her be the Conservative legacy. Get her just enough votes to be seated.

Let her have fun and run to FoxNews and make a mockery of the court.

Maybe in a few years she will get bored like Thomas, and miss her old life.

This is really the best we can hope for.
