Interestingly, as morbid as it may sound, if McCain were to not make it, his successor would be appointed. The time has lapsed for a special election. So the Republican governor of AZ would make the decision. Many want it to be Cindy McCain. Regardless of who it is, McCain could leave marching orders given this recent development.

Him and enough other REAL Americans in their party need to switch party now over to be a Democrat knocking Mitch and the majority out of their control.
