I am feeling such despair

The state of our Democracy is perilous now with all 3 branches of government in these RWNJ hands. I do not want to be around any trump voter. Period. I feel such anger towards them. I do not want to bear witness to the collapse of our system of government and watch it morph into Fascism or a Theocracy. I wrote a status message stating that on Facebook. I have in laws and an adopted daughter in Texas that I do not want to see or be around. If the November elections do not bring hope, my family is leaving the country. We are fortunate to be retirees who have that option. Only thing that would keep us here is my 91 year old mother, who is too old to leave. Once she passes, however, game on.

This has been a week of body blows, and this seems the worst by far, because it will last and last. I, too, am looking at leaving, because I see the storm gathering quickly now.

They are emboldened, and I am frightened for where things are heading.

Take breaks if needed. I know it’s hard to keep it going. But we must keep on keepin on.

Someone on another site asked, in light of the recent "incident" with SHS, would too serve Anthony Kennedy in your restaurant?
The answer was yes, but I'd put "something" in his drink.

to know you live among people who actually voted for this dangerous man. As I said on FB these times remind me of the part in Lord of the Rings when Gandalf refers to the Darkness which has crept over the land. Trump is evil and dangerous. Republicans in Congress are complicit in the destruction of our democracy and our civil liberties. We were attacked by a foreign adversary, and still yet Republicans will not stand up to the man who benefited from this attack. I wish I felt there was action to be taken, but other than voting in November, which I definitely will do, I can't think of anything else. Sad.
