Hillary warned us, many here on DU warned the naysayers. I recall being told it wasn't a big issue.

I refer, of course, to the"conscience" voters.

I fear they will never learn.

certain we regain control of Congress? There's no other question that matters. We need to focus on finding the right answer to that and stop wasting time arguing about what we can't change. Unless we do that, we'll lose again.

get to work on the biggest GOTV campaign ever seen. Think I'm exaggerating? I'm not. Without that, we could sink even deeper into this swamp. Please, folks, I beg of you, don't waste energy on things can will not occur. Fight for November, starting right now!

All the woe-is-me in the world will not turn things around.

Trump was an incompetent, loud-mouth oaf in 2016. He's now shown us who he truly is, as has the Republican Party.

The way to halt and contain these suckers is slamming them with a Blue Wave, washing the acolytes of the wanna-be tyrant out to sea, and then tying Trump up, neuter him, make him irrelevant, weak until he resigns, is impeached and/or indicted.

Our moment, our shot is coming in November. We dare not miss.

The Supreme Court is upholding all of the voter suppression laws and gerrymandered congressional maps, and despite everything he’s done Trump’s poll numbers have surged so the Republicans should have no trouble maintaining their death grip on all branches of government. I will vote a straight Democratic ticket in November as should everyone here but I highly doubt it will change anything.

Not the one here in PA. The KEY was that our map was redrawn based on the state Constitution per the State Supreme Court and the SCOTUS refused to get involved in a "state matter". The GOP here is going to try one more time but hopefully, even with Kennedy gone, it will still not get a hearing like the other 2 times were refused a hearing.

Meaning if we can start clawing back our states and change the state Constitutions or however one can adjust redistricting in a state (e.g., referendum to have a "neutral" panel decide, etc) - and most DEFINITELY do it by 2020 - then WE can control the redistricting.

Feh!

You vote. That's good. Now, take a couple of people you know, but who don't normally vote, to the polls, too. Contact your local Democratic Party organizations and volunteer to help with GOTV work. Volunteer only as much time as you want.

You can simple give up and give in, or you can do something. It's up to you, really.
