And maybe Democrats can take advantage of this. In the governor's race, the top Republican candidate (Cornett) is being forced into a runoff. And the Democratic candidate got over 240K votes.

Teachers have run for state house seats in both parties. My understanding is that the teachers did well in the Republican primaries.
