This has been the last Hugh Hewitt Show on Saturday mornings, Hewitt explained.

(1,117 posts)Fox is propaganda - that is terrible. But
MSNBC is profit-first infotainment, which is only better in parts.
Listen to Rachel and Lawrence- they are good. But remember their corporate masters control the show ultimately- Lawrence was nearly fired recently.
If you want real journalism you have to go nonprofit, or journalist (not corporate) controlled: Mother Jones, Propublica, John Oliver, TPM/Josh Marshall.

(15,805 posts)predominantly liberal viewers a 30 minute dose of an unremarkable conservative like Hewitt at the crack of dawn on Saturday. The would have gotten better ratings by airing a cooking show or funny cat videos.
Will they double down an try to force another rightwing propagandist on irate MSNBC viewers?

(5,815 posts)Going on MSNBC with a straight Republican Party line was doomed from the start, but maybe the big wigs at MSNBC thought theyd be more balanced by having him on??? But come on. Surely there are other Republicans that could have hosted the show without mass defections to the Food Network. Why put someone on (even at an early hour) who raises the blood pressure of even their most docile viewer?? Major fail, MSNBC. Next time think about who your audience is and dont select a host that pisses off the audience with just his face.
