Would be the first question I'd ask him, right after i asked him why he failed to warn the American people of Russian interference in the election.

With the follow up question, had he ever accepted Russian money.

Where are the so called journalists anyway?

With a veto-proof majority.

Here's the thing; Trump is doing what Bannon always wanted: crashing the system, "deconstructing the administrative state." I doubt Trump understands that's what he's doing, but there is only so long that people will keep coming to work without paychecks.

"... those are our hostages"

That's why Trump and the GOP look like such assholes. THEY ADMITTED they were taking hostages -- but only the ones they felt safe taking -- when they funded 77% of the federal gov separately last Sept and only passed a short-term CR until Dec 7 on the rest.

If you can do 77%, why not 78%? 80%? 85%? everything but DHS where the budget dispute lies? Because federal employees, federal services, and federal assets are just pawns in a game to them.

Even more than the Trump kids, although they are running a close third. He has to go by hook or by crook, and it has to be this year. Enough of him. He has willfully enabled the destruction of our democracy.

We voted in Democrats into House seats for a reason. We don't want a fucking wall for many reasons.

The only problem is that republicans have no problem destroying our government, just like what the
Russians want for America.

It's a sticky situation, but my take is that Dems need and must hold fast to our issues and policies and a wall is not among them.

If the historians in the future (-assuming it is one of tyranny-) look back at these times they will see that McConnell was the key.

He is the biggest contributor to the concept of authoritarian rule. Starts with him denying any legitimacy to over 50% of the US population and their support of Obama through his obstruction and overt statements that he would do so. The most direct expression of this was with Merrick Garland and refusal to even have him considered for the Supreme Court. Forget representative government or even our history of democracy.

His enabling Trump for the last two years is just in support of the path to tyranny. McConnell does not believe in Democracy. He is for Authoritarian rule- his actions demonstrate this. Trump is just the tool or the path. McConnell is the method.
