and so it begins...

Text of tweet:

Oh boy: House Judiciary is seeking “an attorney with several years of investigative or litigation experience," according to a listing on a Capitol Hill jobs board. “Litigation experience" is partly in anticipation of the possibility of impeachment proceedings, per @axios.

but, we also need to be patient - I'm guessing most of Team Trump will try to fight voluntary requests to testify and then it will be a subpoena fight and then appeals to the SCOTUS of the subpoena and then many people taking the 5th.

If they refuse a subpoena it's simple, hold them in contempt. There should be no reason for subpoenas to reach the SC.
The debate that the GOP/Trump party is having is whether the president has to comply, there is no debate for other people.

I agree with Dick Durbin that Dems should wait until the Mueller
report is published. There will be a lot of "ammo" there.

had acted like tRump has, he would have been impeached long ago. The gop has MUCH lower standards for their presidents than democratic voters have. I guess the only requirement for a gop president is to be dumb and crooked.

and his crime family. If we had an unbiased M$M Trump would be impeached by now. If I hear one more cable news anchor ask if Democrats are overstepping with impeachment talk I'm going to ....think of Auntie Maxine.

When the dirt on Trump came out after a year and a half investigation, was it from the WSJ, about how Trump's dad gave him 400 million dollars to cover for his failures, about how Trump launders money, about how Trump doesn't pay taxes, about how Trump is guilty of tax fraud.

That blockbuster expose' remained in the M$M news cycle for 24 fucking hours. People keep underestimating the importance of the right wing corporate controlled M$M.

I wonder if you can prosecute lies in his report? The house should require him to submit it under oath and stipulate it is all true.

and make it Must See TV in this age of celebrity.

That said, I would think they'd want constitutional law experts for this sort of case?
