What I would like to see from the new Democratic Congress?

First of all, they should realize that The trump is playing a game with the House and Senate in order to obstruct and prevent Robert Mueller from doing his job.

That is why he put Matt Whitaker in as Attorney General - to protect him from the Mueller investigation. And Whitaker is acting the snake everyone thought him to be. That is why he is playing his "shutdown" game, also.

I would like to see the Congress subpoena Matt Whitaker immediately, to answer questions about why he was hired and how much information he has been passing to the White House?

If they are not convinced that Whitaker is being honest, then they should move to impeach him as soon as possible. Not only would this be the responsible thing to do, it would put the Republican Senate on the record. Are they willing to hold a renegade White House responsible? The people need to know where the Republicans stand and Democrats should begin to clean out the rats nest in the White House.

It doesn't matter if Trump declares "executive privilege" or whether or not the Senate convicts the acting-AG, the Democrats need to make this move, in my opinion.
