He ran in a fairly moderate district in his special election last March and she was pretty unpopular there.

I'm in Lamb's district in Beaver County. It voted for Rothfus. The NW Pgh suburbs won it for Lamb. I will never vote for Lamb again and will support a primary challenge to him. No Republican or conservaDem voted for Lamb because he said he wouldn't support Pelosi. Dems voted for him in spite of that pledge.

So, Rep Lamb, if you or any of your staff are reading this, voting against Pelosi didn't win you any new votes, but cost you one you did get.

He ran in a special election in March against Rick Saccone in a district that was gerrymandered Republican. She was deeply unpopular in that district because of how heavily gerrymandered Republican it was.

C-Span was mentioning a vote for Mark Meadows on the Republican side, so not all Democratic.

period. They should all be roundly condemned for buying into the Republican meme that Pelosi is/was somehow "the enemy". They are idiots.

Their votes caused no problems and this way they keep campaign promises. Don't worry about this.

Again, they bought into the Republican meme about Pelosi. They won over 0 Republicans making a pledge to vote against her.

The Beaver County portion of Lamb's district is full of rednecks, codgers and generally uninformed voters. I live here, I know them. The Lamb campaign never even set a canvassing foot in my particular neighborhood because it is so Republican. I'm willing to bet the few of these voters who supported Lamb did so because of his USMC background, not because he said he wouldn't support Pelosi. It was a ridiculous promise to make in the first place and it sure didn't stop Rs and their support groups from running ads tying Lamb to "liberal Pelosi".

You're right that we need to start fighting back. Republicans vote for their own nominees, without apology. Democrats need to do the same.

but when you pledge something like not voting for your own party's nominee for Speaker, it shows you are scared or at least able to be frightened. Lamb could have said he'd back Trump 100% and it still wouldn't have stopped Republicans from trying to tar him as a "liberal" or some other pejorative. That's what gets me. Never give in to a bully because it only emboldens them.
