McConnell asks new Democratic House if it will choose "policymaking or presidential harassment"

I think the correct reply would be 'go fuck yourself, mitch'

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell welcomed the 116th Congress on Thursday, which is also the 13th day of the partial government shutdown.
"I’m glad to be welcoming back my friends and returning colleagues to what I hope will be a productive session," he said.

McConnell also spoke about the House, which switched from Republican to Democratic control today.

"We know that the Senate with a Republican majority is fertile soil for big, bipartisan accomplishments. The question is, will the newly Democratic House join in this good momentum or bring it to a standstill?" he said.

He continued: "It's a clear choice and will be clear to the American people watching all this at home. Good governance or political performance art? The public interest or political spite? Policymaking or presidential harassment?"

I swear, he should be locked into a room with his eyes taped open and made to watch film of himself saying the exact opposite when Obama was president.

(To be clear, I don't REALLY condone this type of torture, but he should have to answer for this hypocrisy somehow).

And he's on the list of people who, if they'd never existed, the US would be a better place.

Others on that list? Limbaugh, Coulter, all of Fox News, Falwell (Sr and Jr), O'Reilly, Paul Ryan, the Pauls (R&R).

Many effective policies will result in Trump's reign coming to an end.

A policy of removal from .office and prosecution for soliciting foreign national involvement in US elections is a very good policy

It is impossible to enact sane policies without the insane complaining about harassment

You have no right to say a damn word about obstruction, your picture is next to the word in the dictionary; you so embody it. It is the Democrats job to obstruct you and the Russia asset & pretend president every step of the way in your planned destruction of this country and it's ideals. You governed in a 1 party fashion for the past 10 years, there was nothing bipartisan in one single thing you did, none. It's not going to work anymore, regardless of your idiotic and meaningless nattering. Dems care about the priorities of the people and protecting us from the criminality and treason of your party and leader and will do so regardless of your unmanly whining. Hope you enjoy wearing orange, traitor.

i think our congresscritters are paid enough to walk and chew gum at the same time, and American people deserve to learn the truth about the circumstances of Putin's absolute victory over our nation. i also think a majority of the Americans who elected this congress are quite aware that nearly all Democratic legislation coming from the house is doomed to die in the senate or on shitler's spite-veto pen. so what's left?

open up committee investigations. many of them. they cannot be vetoed or filibustered and they make for entertaining spectacle which will get plenty of media coverage.

pass popular legislation which costs the Republicants politically every time they shoot it down.

pass a continuing resolution every week with $0 allocated for wally walls.

just my humble opinion.

when law breakers such as rump need to be thrown in jail, or removed from office. Doing this is not political art, not political spite, not presidential harassment, it's doing the job of Congress to oversee the executive branch which you failed (mitch m.) miserably at.

Obviously you need to have another civics course.
