What an historic day. As an almost 70 years old woman, you can't imagine how good this feels. I've always thought that we need more diversity in Congress and now we have it, at least on our side. What a marked difference when viewing both sides of the aisle.
OK, Dems. Time to dig right in and fix the wrongs that have been done to this country as much as we can, starting with indicting Trump.

(9,476 posts)We have seen a lot in our lifetimes. And yes, it's time to dig in and fix the wrongs and there are many to fix. But we Dems are strong in numbers and intestinal fortitude, we are highly motivated and we are ticked off by what is happening to our country. Enough is enough! We are not going to take it anymore!

(60,010 posts)Looking back at the hard work we all did since 1970, I have a lump in my throat with the diverse new Congress.
took 50 years (this time around) but today I can choose one of several woman doctors, and attorneys even in my lil town.
the republican party is pretty much on the rocks in many states, part of that reason was sexism that resulted in a Me Too movement that became global, very quickly.
been an interesting ride.....

(33,574 posts)Republicans are now manufactured in the same factory -- Fox and Friends. Some options are made by Limbaugh, but all Republican voters are trained to seek only approved models.

It tells you all you need to know.
Normal, intelligent feeling, well-balanced human beings vs a bunch of psychologically disturbed, emotionally tormented, fucked up automatons !!!
