Why is Amy Klobuchar so incredibly likable and charming?

@tribelaw
Could it be because @amyklobuchar is authentically decent and genuinely friendly as well as extremely smart, witty, and welcoming? Just my hunch, @MollyJongFast.

Happy 91st birthday to VP Walter Mondale. In college I was one of his interns, where I was assigned to inventory all the office furniture. That was my first gov job in Washington & U.S. Senator was my second. Lesson? Do good work no matter the assignment & listen to wise mentors.

I met her when she was still in the middle of her first Senate campaign. I immediately thought, "this is one VERY smart and personable woman!" In 2006, we already had a good group of women Senate candidates (middle of Howard's 50 State Strategy). I met most of them at the Emily's list annual gathering in Washington. I usually don't go, but my daughter was interning with them that year, so that made the difference. Amy Klobuchar stood out in a crowded field of exceptional women. It would appear that she still does.

knowing what she's like. But, I bet I would like her from all the nice things I've read people say about her.

I saw a short clip of her when they were questioning kavanaugh but that's it.

granted, she follows like half a million others on Twitter as well, but the Reply Title looks good.

that said, Molly Jong-Fast - the woman Prof. Tribe is responding to - is an excellent follow as well (daughter of Erica Jong)

Mrs. Cool calm and collected during that whole exchange......that scene with that piece of shit could be her ticket to the big time.

Plenty of Twin Citians still refer to the 60s and 70s Strib sports pages as "the Klobuchar years". Jim's never been a saint, but he's a man of fundamental honesty, deep humility, and has always been gifted with a major sense of humor.

I know their relationship wasn't great during the hard times when he was drinking, but they seem to have worked it out pretty well.

She's definitely got his sense of humor.

appreciatively,
Bright

Soon after she declares her candidacy, she will quickly become one of the most hated people in our society: women who display political ambition.
