(1,366 posts)I have hopes for her, but was so disappointed in her at the Kavanaugh hearings. Promising a lot, delivering little. But she's smart enough to learn.

(33,461 posts)I can tell you're very concerned, but tell me:
What, as a minority member of the Judiciary Committee, did she promise?
What, as a minority member of the Judiciary Committee, did she fail to deliver?
TimeToGo
(1,366 posts)Because, it was pretty obvious.

(33,461 posts)"It was pretty obvious" is not an answer.

(1,366 posts)I guess I don't really want to go down the road of being neg toward a dem.
But, basically while questioning B.K. she implied strongly that she had information -- the "think carefully before you answer" -- line. But, didn't -- and admitted such when questioned after the hearings.
I get that she's smart and hopefully learned a lesson -- I just would have real trouble supporting her at this point for pres. Who knows though.

(24,296 posts)I think Joe should be everyone's VP forever.

(17,055 posts)I don't believe this country is ready for a female president yet and besides Joe Biden has the chops, the knowledge and the likeability factor needed to be a fine president.
So Joe with Kamala as VP is a good way for Kamala to prove herself to the whole electorate before just jumping cold turkey onto the national political stage. Not everyone pays attention like we here on DU so a more formal introduction could only help and I want her to succeed when she runs.

(1,693 posts)and I would support it wholeheartedly.
Harris/Beto 2020?
My thought is that, after the insanity of Trump, we need a steady, experienced hand on the tiller to start to get the country back on track. I think Joe fits that better than anybody.

(5,803 posts)While there may not be an official term limit for VP, Biden has already served 8 years as VP. I'm pretty sure he would only be interested in the top spot on any ticket.
Any other ticket, I would want Harris at the top! Even with another female candidate - except ( I can dream, lol) Hillary!

(12,774 posts)Joe is being left out of much of the early conversation, but if he throws his hat in the ring, visions of Camelot could dance in our heads.
Please - no Biden, no Bernie. Step aside.
