but she is so boring to me. And that makes me sad as an African American woman. I dont think she has it. Michelle Obama makes me sit up and feel something when she speaks. She excites me. Barack Obama excites me. I knew he was the one from the minute he gave that speech at the convention. Bill Clinton excited me years ago. The only one that remotely makes me sit up now is Beto and Im not all there with him. I want to be moved by someone again. It will not affect my decision to vote. I would vote for almost anyone to get that orange @sshole out of there. Anyway, Im just feeling a little down about the current state of our country this morning...

(95,007 posts)You may only care about policies or experience, but other voters DO consider how engaging the candidate is. Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama would not have been the candidates they were if all they did was dryly recite their talking points. And having met with her at a "get to know you" session of prospective funders, I would concur with that point; she will NOT be a Bet O'Rourke rally crowd candidate.

(102,562 posts)and if one thinks it won't be used in the most ugly and humiliating way (a la Dukakis in the tank with a too large helmet) in ads run 24/7, then I've got land to sell ya.
It is one thing to communicate in a familiar or even "fun" way with ones supporters from time to time, but that doesn't need to mean sharing that which most of us would prefer not to see from anyone. NOW THAT is BORING.

(11,611 posts)Policy wise and professionally she is spot on. She seemed pretty dedicated and firm when thrust into the spotlight too. I like everything I've seen so far.

(171,111 posts)it's way too early to judge any of our potential candidates. I will sit back, listen, and watch. She might just grow on you, too, if you give her a chance.

(4,187 posts)Enjoy the next six years of the Trump presidency. It could be much worse. You could have a boring woman like HRC or Harris as your president. The horror!

(66,530 posts)Does she make decisions based on emotion...you know, like a woman, instead of upon reason, like a man? Are you worried that her judgement will become unreliable at...you know, certain times of the month? Are you bothered by her e-mails?...
Concern noted...
