...A Russian agent? Blackmailed into deliberately trying to destroy the country? God-knows-what that Putin has on him? "Duh...well, it's driving them Lib'ruls crazy! Better the Russians than them!"... A good 25% of this country wouldn't give a flying fuck. God help us all.

(15,088 posts)probably 20% or so (2/3 to 3/4 of his "base" )of the country could see Der Drumpfenfuhrer spills his guts on live TV and they would not believe it.

(621 posts)Now hes more silver-plated. When impeachment or trials become their gold, youll see a very calculated move by all media. The juicer story, the better. Dirty laundry sells.

(7,947 posts)It is inconceivable to me. Even if they don't totally believe it, You'd think they would get more neutral.

(65,401 posts)About 40% of that number (& 42 is too high, more like 39, aggregated) are short term, "my finances" types, or bubble heads that still think business does better under R presidents.
But, many of those would be swayed by knowledge of criminal actions. (or, anti-american).
My guess in answering the OP question is:
Nearly none of the true base, but;
The approval number will fall to <30%.

(33,554 posts)I doubt Traitor Donald's approval rating will drop very much. Those who approve now are part of the cult created by the propaganda machine.

(33,554 posts)Nixon didn't have a cult so his ratings fell when it became undeniable that he was, indeed, a crook. Trump's approval may be stagnant until Fox disavows him.
ProfessorGAC
(65,401 posts)His cult is not as big as you believe.

(3,217 posts)...25% is a conservative figure (no pun intended)...there's a good percentage of people out there who might not have voted or cared for trump, but will now give him the benefit of the doubt simply because he's president...
...why else are decent Republicans scared shitless of challenging trump and few of us are clamoring for his impeachment?...if impeachment wasn't meant for a trump, then for whom was impeachment intended?
...I guess we'll just have to wait for Russian asset trump to create some global catastrophe before we acknowledge the danger of trump being president...
...sad, very sad...

How many of Orangeman's "base" live in Section 8 housing? How many are working for the gov't and not being paid? Things like that will turn them against him much quicker that him admitting wrongdoing.

(5,997 posts)Last week I was driving around town (DC metro) scanning the radio dial and hit a preset for what used to be a classic rock station. It's right wing talk radio now.
The host said he reads a wide variety of global news sources and said Russian media is far more trustworthy than the US media.
He cautioned, however, that Russian media is not a monolith. He's seen some Russian news stories that puzzled him and made him do additional research that cast doubt but overall far more accurate.
I didn't catch the host's name and I wonder how prevalent this Russia love is on RWNJ radio. I looked up this radio station and found it was bought by Sputnik last year. Station is headquartered in Washington, DC.
