Senior Trump Official' On Shutdown: 'We Do Not Want Most Employees To Return' TPM

Get ready for right-wing think tank ‘privatization’ plans to be implemented.

You know what letting the lowest bidder do the job gets you? A BAD job.

An unnamed “senior official in the Trump administration” wrote in an anonymous Daily Caller op-ed Monday that the record-breaking 24-day partial government shutdown “is an opportunity to strip wasteful government agencies for good.”

“Now that we are shut down, not only are we identifying and eliminating much of the sabotage and waste, but we are finally working on the president’s agenda,” the official wrote, adding in conclusion: “Wasteful government agencies are fighting for relevance but they will lose. Now is the time to deliver historic change by cutting them down forever.”

The more workers will leave for other jobs, thus relieving the feds of paying unemployment.

The thing is, it's always the BEST people who find new jobs first, leaving behind the dregs (relatively speaking). Race to the bottom, step right up.

This was the purpose of the wall fight afterall. Next stop, martial law. This will be used as an excuse to not have an election in 2020.

But President Trump can end this abuse. Senior officials can reprioritize during an extended shutdown, focus on valuable results and weed out the saboteurs. We do not want most employees to return, because we are working better without them. Sure, we empathize with families making tough financial decisions, like mine, and just like private citizens who have to find other work and bring competitive value every day, while paying more than a third of their salary in federal taxes.

More than a third in federal taxes? From 2014:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_the_United_States

You had to be in the top 1% before you paid a third of your income in federal taxes. And that was before Trump gave a handout to the top 1%, so that's probably not true now. Top 0.5%, perhaps?

anti-regulation right-wing donor classes that have taken increasing control of the GOP since around 1980. They want an end to taxes on them and an end to the ability of voters to stop them. The Daily Caller's a rotten source, of course, but the goals of all these groups would be furthered and TPM considered it worth reporting.

Note, this does not necessarily have to be from Trump, but could be someone busily pushing him into creating chaos.

This Vox article has a graphic that shows WHAT PROPORTION of workers are furloughed from which government agencies.

Such as DHS 14.7%, DOI 66.5%, EEOC 84.5%, EPA 95%.

That donor class keeps buying more critters to install in government.

We need to regain control from the oligarchs.

of course, but that too few will take a half-hour stand for democracy and too many are so easily suckered into supporting evil.

Speaking of, I see a lot fewer posts here these days claiming to not vote for either party as a matter of principle. Presumably seeing what not voting against evil brought us to, so that's an advance.
