Steve King . . . . wuddaya think?

On its face, it is a good thing that he's essentially been neutered in Congress. He, literally, has nothing to do.

But lets consider . . . .

Did Kevin McCarthy, et al, do this because it was the right thing to do?

~or~

Was this an attempt at deflection from the increasingly terrible news against President Puppet (PP: double meaning intended) and the GOP?

And man of man, when do they drop the same thing on PP? After all, It was/is him who normalized such talk, who gave fuckers like King permission to be openly racist.

So yeah. True to form, the GOP remains the hypocritical dichotomy they've always been.

I think this was done for show and as a shiny thing meant to distract. Problem is, you can't easily distract when a super-slow motion train wreck is underway.

He needs to be formally censured. This an attempt, IMO, to deflect and kick the racist can down the road in a way that won't stick as fully to the GOP brand. Seriously, look it up. Censured polticans leave a trail of slime. We, Democrats tend to let these issues slide when they GOP pulls something like this, but they almost never do for us.

The racist ass needs to be censured. Oh, and Trump colluded with Russia, too. I can walk and chew gum at the same time.

This is the GOP trying to put this to bed before the racist stink, which they own, clings to them on record. I'm not ok with that.

Make it formal and censor him and own it. That's what people will see historically. Not that he was stripped of his committees. That makes it all on him and nothing is on them, which isn't accurate in their current climate. Censure him and vote on it!

He is losing support from home. A Democrat came within 3 points of beating him. The GOP doesn't mind racist but Steve King could make them lose a seat so they want a reason to primary him.

He is now a liability, and must go.

Unfortunately, he could be replaced by something worse.

At this point Rep. Steve King has, thru his own stupid remarks, been removed (stripped) of his committee assignments. The censure will make it difficult for any moderate republican to be associated with him. Certainly no democrat would give him the time of day. In the give some and get some world of modern day politics, if you have nothing to give--you get nothing in return. To the voters and general public of northwest Iowa I would submit-- in language you and I can both understand and appreciate-- CONGRESSMAN STEVE KING IS NOW AS USELESS AS TITS ON A BOAR! It is time to demand his resignation--immediately. To congressman King- regarding your question of when did White Nationalism, White Supremacy become offensive? Maybe not in full application, but officially JULY 4th, 1776
