hopefully this Sunday I can start to watch it seriously. I hope Tiafoe is still around so I can see him play. I have seen the last 2 Federer matches (those are no miss for me if possible since his time around the court is limited) and I did catch Sharapova last night. I am not a Sharapova fan but was thrilled to see her beat Wozniacki. I do not care for the Woz at all.

I think I might have to wait? Dimitrov is tough. It sounds like an exciting match up. It looks like it might be a match for Saturday night (US). If so I hope it is very late here so I can see it. I have been waiting, who hasn't, for more US men to come up and be able to finish. Maybe it will be Tiafoe. That would be terrific. I am going to need some different favorites soon .

He'll be 21 in two days
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frances_Tiafoe

The son of Sierra Leonean immigrants, Tiafoe was raised at a USTA Regional Training Center in Maryland where his father worked as the head of maintenance. His unique background and success as a teenager led him to be widely hyped as a great prospect to become one of the next tennis stars for the United States. Tiafoe first broke into the Top 100 of the ATP rankings in 2016. With his victory at the 2018 Delray Beach Open, he became the youngest American titlist on the ATP Tour since Andy Roddick in 2002.

Early in his career, Tiafoe won the Orange Bowl in 2013 at 15 years old, making him the youngest boys' singles champion in the history of the tournament. At the age of 17, he became the youngest American to participate in the main draw of the French Open since Michael Chang in 1989. As a teenager, Tiafoe also won the US Junior National Championship and enjoyed success on the ATP Challenger Tour with 9 finals and 4 titles.

Thank you! I will follow him certainly. I never really care but it is always just a little more fun if there is an American to root for. Just a little. I miss Agassi and Davenport, just a little.

Serena and Venus have kept the flag flying but their tennis say will come to an end one of these days. That said I'd love Serena to equal Margaret Court's record next week. She's looking good but so are quite a few young women who are nearly half her age.
