It’s unnecessary. There was a time when you couldn’t post just a title in your post, you had to have something in the body of the post or it would give you an error message. So people got into the habit of putting “nt” just so they could post. That’s not needed now; you can just say what you want in the header and post.

That’s how long I’VE been here! 😁
