Real Time with Bill Maher Returns for 17th Season Tonight

https://www.broadwayworld.com/bwwtv/article/REAL-TIME-WITH-BILL-MAHER-Returns-For-17th-Season-Today-20190117

"REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER returns for its 17th season FRIDAY, JAN. 18 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), with a replay at midnight, exclusively on HBO."

"Allowing Maher to offer his unique perspective on contemporary issues, the show includes an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists and interviews with guests. Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich is the top-of-show interview guest. Athlete Marshawn Lynch is the mid-show interview guest. The roundtable guests are radio host Erick Erickson, former Mass. Rep. Barney Frank and columnist Catherine Rampell."

Not the most exciting line-up, but I am looking forward to seeing the show. I don't always agree with him, but I actually kind of missed the show while it was off the air. Love it or hate it, it's always interesting.

For some reason, Bill always feels like he needs to have a controversial right-winger on the show. To fuel ratings I suppose, but the only people who want to watch him are liberals and we really don't want to see people like that. It's kind of pointless.

I appreciate Michael Steele and John Huntsman even I don't necessarily agree with them. It's possible to find some common ground. But the Libertarian nutjobs like Erickson and evangelical hypocrites like Huckabee are just a waste of time.
