Malcolm Nance Predicts Trump Will Get Busted For Ordering Dozens Of People To Cover His Crimes

Not only does counterterrorism expert Malcolm Nance believe the controversial BuzzFeed report will turn out to be factual, but he believes Donald Trump will likely get busted for ordering dozens of people to lie to cover up his work as a Russian asset.

“This story may not pan out. I believe it will,” Nance told MSNBC. “I believe that there will probably be a dozen situations where Donald Trump ordered people to lie or cover up or hide the fact that he’s doing Russia’s bidding.”

Nance said:

The United States national security is at risk when you’re talking about a person who … is a pathological liar, is easily manipulated, who blurts out our national security secrets in order to brag and impress our enemies. That’s where we’re in trouble. But more importantly, the presidency itself has been compromised. Look, this story may not pan out. I believe it will. I believe that there will probably be a dozen situations where Donald Trump ordered people to lie or cover up or hide the fact that he’s doing Russia’s bidding because he wants to be accepted by Russia and to be oligarch billionaires like their leadership.

There is overwhelming evidence that Trump is a Russian asset

While Donald Trump and his supporters are pouncing on the BuzzFeed controversy – and Mueller’s pushback – as proof (!) that this whole three-year investigation into the president’s Russia ties is a complete hoax, it doesn’t change what we already know.

As Fernand Amandi pointed out on MSNBC on Saturday, there has been consistently compelling and credible reporting that Trump is a Russian asset – and it’s almost never faced any pushback from Mueller’s team.

Maybe it is inaccurate because it is even worse than Buzzfeed portrayed it.

The leak came from somewhere, but not from Mueller or anyone in his office.

It's an important point because Mueller has never leaked anything, especially not on this investigation. The important message for us is that he didn't deny the story. Michael Cohen said those things and he's been corroborated in interviews with other White House employees. Mueller has texts, emails, phone calls, and 3rd party testimony saying the same thing. Mueller's been looking into all of this for over a year, ever since he raided Cohen's office.

Malcolm Nance has been following this story since before the election, and he knows many of people who spoke with Mueller.

If someone robs a bank and it's reported the getaway car was black instead of blue, that's "inaccurate," but doesn't make the thief any less guilty.

They seem to be under the impression that law works like a game of Clue where if you accuse Colonel Mustard of knifing someone in the dining room instead of the billiard room, you lose the game and the suspect goes free.

The central theme: Trumpy commanded Cohen to lie to Congress.

central point of the Buzzfeed article is true but the details are inaccurate.

However, the fact that the Buzzfeed writers admitted they never saw the actual documentation should have set off an immediate alarm bell. Instead of waiting for additional corroboration, they took the word of two law enforcement officials they claimed were credible sources in the past. That may be absolutely true but without the additional source work there's no telling if the two officials were acting on real documentation or junk.

Whatever the case, a snafu like this--once it hits the MSM--discredits not only the story but bruises the hard legal work that's been going on for the last 2+ years.

Trump and his minions are circling the drain. They know it and everyone else knows it. Delaying and/or confusing the inevitable is a feature, not a bug. Discrediting journalism has been an anthem for the MAGA crowd. With the troubled Buzzfeed article, they've been handed a weapon, which they're already using.

Which means we and the press need to be careful that we're not spreading disinformation to be used against our own credibility.

Catching Donald Trump is a tall order, it is widely known that he does not use email, or write letters or memos. I hope that whatever proof they have on him is solid and unimpeachable.
