WAR VETERAN SENATOR TAMMY DUCKWORTH LASHES OUT AT TRANSGENDER MILITARY BAN: 'DISCRIMINATION HAS NO PLACE IN OUR MILITARY'

Democratic Senator and Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth has struck out at the Supreme Court over its decision to allow the Trump administration to temporarily enforce restrictions preventing transgender people from serving in the military.

Duckworth, who lost both of her legs in 2004 while serving in Iraq, called the Supreme Court's decision "disheartening," but said, in a series of tweets on Tuesday, that it was not too late to show the Trump administration "that this sort of discrimination has no place in our military."

"When I was bleeding to death in my Black Hawk helicopter on that dusty field in Iraq, I didn't care if the American troops risking their lives to help save me were gay, straight, transgender, black, white, male or female," Duckworth said. "All that mattered was they didn't leave me behind."

stolen seats for what they are. STOLEN. Stolen by an illegitimate president and the GOP.

I wish they could explain how it might be possible to undo this hijacking of the SCOTUS.

Or are we all sadly living another pipe dream that this tRump nightmare has brought on.

1. House investigates Kavanaugh
2. Democrats elected to majority in Senate in 2020; hold majority in House
3. House impeaches Kavanaugh
4. Senate tries Kavanaugh on charges
5. If found guilty, Kavanaugh removed.
(This is not a certainty, even if Dems were to capture 67 seats in Senate. The charges would have to be serious and indicate he is unfit for the bench).

If a Presidency is aquired through foul play, and there is sufficient evidence to back that claim, then every action of the Presidency may be challenged and reversed.

Yes, the electors officially declared hom President, but they didn’t know then what we all suspected but couldn’t prove. Once it’s proven, it will demonstrate that the will of the people was subverted. At the bare minimum it was manipulated by a foreign influence.

So the SCOTUS goes back to two empty seats, We are back full force into the Paris Climate Agreement, the Iran Nuclear Treaty, end family separation, lift the ban on Transgender troops, and cease hostilities in the stupid trade wars...

I love for it to wipe away all the Rs that were swept into office on his coat tails too, but unfortunately that would probably next to impossible to seperate them out from the Rs that would have won anyway...

What an awesome statement from your Senator. Unfortunately, here in Iowa, Joni Ernst would never stand up to the Mango Hitler. She also served in the Gulf War, at least that was all over her campaign ads, but has said nothing about rolling back protections for folks in the military.

Hopefully, some day soon we can all vote in Senators that we can be proud of.

they don't ever legislate to better the country, it is almost like they go in a conference room and their leader asks 'Ok, any new ideas how we can screw up the country and put more money in our pockets?, anyone?', and then they go at it. One never hears a bill coming from republicans that will benefit the people...please prove me wrong. Why do people continue to vote these crooks into office?

I am ashamed that the SC doesn’t have the same code of ethics that the State of New Jersey imposes upon me. I am ashamed that Clarence Thomas and his wife flaunt court decorum and speak at overtly political right wing organizations. I am ashamed that Alito doesn’t have the sense to think Citizen’s United wouldn’t attract foreign investment and interference in our elections. I am ashamed that the Republicans on the SC would think it matters whether someone who is transgendered wanted to lay down their life for their country or fellow serviceman. I am ashamed that someone could rant, rave, and blatantly lie during his confirmation hearing like Kavenaugh did. If I acted like that in court I would have ethics charges lodged against me for unprofessional conduct before the court. I am ashamed of the majority of members of the SC. The first thing Dems should do after winning 2020 is start an investigation into Kavenaugh’s perjury during his confirmation hearing then begin impeachment proceedings. If that didn’t work, pack the court with Dems, if possible. We need to right this ship and it starts with targeting Fox and going after the SC.

I believe she can speak for Americans in uniform. It's foolish to deny certain people the chance to serve in the military based on their gender orientation. When the chips are down it's about saving the lives of fellow Americans.

That is why it makes me nuts when some people tell me the didn't vote or voted for 45 because they wanted to "blow up the system". Well, we are going to pay for it for a LONG time.
