I remember watching it have these immediate stories that hit what was the internet in the mid to late 90's. Their media also floods every avenue they have all with the same story. Straight down the line with, it used to be, George Will adding some fancy words to what everyone else wrote about that week. Repetition and taking advantage of the lazy media - get a story out first and it changes the narrative.

Fake news? They pick and choose what they want their cult members to believe, and what not to believe. The truth just gets in their way.

The kids went to DC to find trouble and cause trouble and they succeeded.

The fact that they traded taunts with another group who went to DC to find and cause trouble doesn't change my opinion. In fact, it reinforces my conclusion.

The adult chaperones were unconcerned.

I do not think the hats are the reason DU lashed out against the kids. Maybe the level of anger was higher due to the hats, but if the kids had mistreated a MAGA hat wearing Native American Vietnam veteran I think DU members and Democrats would have condemned the kids and their parents. I think DU would have said the kids and their parents make Democrats look bad and we have to stand up to those kids and parents in order to protect the Democratic Party. I believe I have seen DU and the Democratic Party stand up against its own in the name of protecting the Democratic Party.

Now, whenever anything non-complimentary about their hero, no matter how well it's sourced and verified by multiple news sources, the Right will scream, "Remember Buzzfeed!" It's going to replace "fake news" as the go-to excuse.

Donald Trump did not have any problems jumping on the bandwagon against the Central Park Five (five black and Hispanic young men who were later found to have not committed the crime for which they were convicted). Donald Trump and his supporters do not have a problem promoting stories before all the facts are known when the suspects are from a minority group.

Trayvon Martin and many other young black men have been treated far worse by the right wing media then the Covington High school boys have been treated by the mainstream media. The right wing media did everything it could to portray Trayvon Martin in a negative light. They even went as far as to say he was a "highly sexualized"young man. I wrote a post in response to that statement saying what teenage boy is not highly sexualized. We have video that alleges to show some of these Covington High School young men saying "It is not rape if you like it", but for some reason the right is not claiming these boys got what they deserved because they were "highly sexualized".
