If Mueller was there waiting to have him arrested and indicted in front of a national audience. Even many Republicans would enjoy that.

for an answer...who tells us "come on, you know you really want this"...who says, "I'll only stay a minute, I just need to use the bathroom"...who whines "but I paid for dinner".

I think I've led a fairly sheltered life so I'm sure others can come up with better lines than I have.

This is classic behavior and so very predictable from Donald.

I think she should write back and say: "Dear Mr. President, as I am sure you know, as Speaker of the House of Representatives, I am the sole judge of the security of the House Chamber. As I indicated to you in my letter of January 16, 2019, I have determined that, under current conditions, for security reasons, the House Chamber will not be available to you on January 29th. As I indicated to you, the House Chamber will be available to you for the State of the Union address at such a time and in my sole judgement, as such security concerns no longer exist."

Don't call me, I'll call you,

Sincerely,

Madam Speaker

"We'll be happy to host your SOTU speech on the 29th if the government has been re-opened so adequate security and administrative matters can be provided and all of that staff can be promptly paid. We would also be happy to host the speech at some later date if the government is still unfunded on the 29th, since there is no requirement that the address be given on a particular date, or that a spoken address be given at all. If you wish to submit your written report on the 29th you can do so during normal business hours on that date. Otherwise please be advised that the House chambers will be closed and unavailable on the evening of the 29th unless the government has been re-opened. If that date is especially important to you, you are, of course, welcome to book another venue of your choosing."

So she should also exclude all representatives and fill every seat with the federal employees who are missing their paycheck yet who are forced to work. That would be a great audience for his nasti-lying-shittiness to play to.
