What I don't understand with the 800,000 Federal employees, why are they NOT picketing

at trump properties and trump-named properties.

Hit trump where it hurts.

Not sure why these people, their families and friends and concerned citizens not doing this.

You could do that in a day and that would make a powerful statement.

And it would be much more helpful than going online to beat up on desperate workers for not sacrificing even more than they already are.

1. Many of them are working without getting paid.
2. Some are working other jobs or are trying to find ways to feed their families.
3. Some have child care needs now that they can no longer afford day care.
4. It's winter and people do not want to stand in picket lines in the frigid weather.

It's a matter of pubic trust. I can't even work as a NP Ranger if am not in good stead with my student loans, have a record of note and a host of other things. You have to prove you are an upstanding citizen to have a job in the government and there are restrictions on your political activities with varying degrees of severity for higher levels of employment.

We all get the background check, with the rare exception of Census workers I found. And I was a finger printer along with other responsibilities there. Most agencies require background checks for everyone, even the contract janitors. So there's a lot at stake with regard to these Americans' ability to remain qualified for their jobs with arrest records and financial woes, as described by Rachel Maddow the past couple evenings.

One things I haven't heard many mention is that idiot45 is a Public Servant and he is employed by us. He needs an hourly reminder of that pesky fact.

I suspect that's a higher priority than hanging out in front of Trump's hotel and accomplishing nothing.

Many of us are still working full time. We are just not getting paid for it. 42,000 of us are active duty military and could be prosecuted for striking. Others of us in the GS sector have been warned by our supervisors we will lose our positions if we strike and many of us don’t want to lose our jobs by breaking the rules. Many of us don’t have gas money to drive 2 counties over let alone to road trip it to the nearest super expensive resort area to protest on Trump properties. Some of us are just tired and hungry and demoralized. How about the rest of America, whom we serve, who ARE being paid get up and strike for us?

Picketing Trump properties would not make any difference at all. Picketing federal buildings might, though. How far is the nearest federal building from where you are? Wouldn't a picketing by non-federal employees be showing strong support for those federal employees. Wouldn't YOU picketing in front of a federal courthouse, FBI office, National Park office, or even a USPS facility be more useful?

Then, when the local news person interviews you, you could say, "I'm picketing as a citizen in support of federal employees who have been furloughed or forced to work without pay. It's the least I can do."

I mean, if you're truly concerned, of course...
