President Trump on Thursday took aim at his former personal lawyer Michael Cohen after the president's former fixer and his lawyers notified Congress that they were delaying his scheduled Feb. 7 testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
In a tweet, Trump targeted Cohen for being represented by attorney Lanny Davis, who formerly served as special counsel to President Bill Clinton, while erroneously stating that Davis had worked for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the past.

The president's tweet came a day after Davis released a statement saying that Cohen needed to delay testimony before Congress due to "ongoing threats against his family from President Trump and Mr. [Rudy] Giuliani."
'y advice of counsel, Mr. Cohens appearance will be postponed to a later date, Davis said Wednesday.
"Mr. Cohen wishes to thank Chairman [Elijah] Cummings [D-Md.] for allowing him to appear before the House Oversight Committee and looks forward to testifying at the appropriate time," he continued. "This is a time where Mr. Cohen had to put his family and their safety first."

(86,963 posts)I have adopted that little motion for assholes who pass me on the Interstate by being too close before changing lanes or riding my ass. As they go by to give me a dirty look, and I am usually doing the speed limit, I look over and act like I'm flicking them off my shoulder with a kind of smug expression, it really gets them and that's the point. It's civil, makes my sentiment clear without flipping them off in the traditional way that might be seen as inciteful in some places.
All that inspired by HRC in that moment. And I am thankful to have an effective alternative to the middle finger salute.
