MUELLER NEWS: Mueller's Grand Jury is meetin' today (Thursday) which is a bit unusual. WaPo reporter Spencer Hsu notes the last time they met on Thursday was the day before the last batch of indictments were rolled out on Friday.

Today is first time that I've seen since July 12, day before the 12 GRU agents indictment.

But it will probably be Stone and Corsi.

Corsi is such a fragile dude - I responded one time to a tweet of his whining about Roger Stone & Info Wars hurting his reputation and he blocked me. Of course, I said his reputation was already as a person that was a "lying sack of dung" and that he should call the Whaaambulance

Fast forward to tomorrow afternoon and there will be multiple threads from people who are counting down the hours until 6 pm eastern, or thereabouts. Those are usually followed by a few threads from people frustrated it was a dud.
The really big stuff seems to go down without a lot of advanced warning.

Until actual news comes out. I am saving it for the occasion when the orange man will be dressed up in an orange suit.

(22,681 posts)Members of the federal grand jury impaneled by special counsel Robert Mueller could soon see their daily stipend deferred - the first indication that his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election may feel the impact of the longest government shutdown in United States history.
That's because at the federal district courthouse in Washington, DC, where the special counsel's grand jury sits, funds are increasingly scarce.
<snip>
A spokeswoman for the court said Tuesday that once the court drains its operating budget, grand jurors will continue to be summoned, but payment will be deferred until Congress and President Donald Trump reach a deal to re-open the government. - ABC7
Mitch McConnell must be in really deep if he's whiling to go to these lengths to stymie the SCO's progress.

(3,437 posts)If the current procedure is not to indict the president while he is in office, and he continuously obstructs the investigation, then how can you stop him from doing it? Maybe the threat to Cohen's family finally did it.
