For the first time I heard a news report on MSNBC that a union leader, I believe it was one of the airline unions, calling for a general strike.
If this shutdown does not end soon the Federal workers may vindicate me. I have been calling for a large united response by the Federal workers. I understood what the federal workers were doing at the beginning of the shutdown, They were waiting and hoping the shutdown would end. They would get there back pay and they would be OK. How much longer can they last? If this goes on much longer they will have their lives destroyed.
Hopefully Trump will back down soon and then lie by telling his voters he won. He is good at that.

(4,379 posts)IRS workers, etc, all at once. I believe the federal workers are still hopeful the shutdown will end soon. If it doesn't I think they will unite and say NO MORE.
