Impeachment, State of Emergency, Shutdown questions...

OK so if he declares a State of Emergency = abuse of power=grounds for Impeachment
(and has already threatened Cohen = obstruction & witness tampering= so much more)

So that re-opens Govt? Back to "business as usual" so to speak...?

While the courts are logjammed with emminent domain cases... say the House DOES actually get an impeachment vote

(and how long would it take or could they make a "short& sweet" case based *just* on the Declaration of Emergency and abuse of power)

Meanwhile, the Senate still has to pass Impeachment
AND Trump has to somehow be convinced to leave office

How long will all this take and will it even work?

I guess that's my main worry... Believe me I want him gone yesterday, but I wonder if it will even work or what kind of awful shit he would rain upon us once the proceedings start.

Like people who get forclosed on and end up destroying the house before they leave.

ETA: I guess I am also worried about what more damage he can cause as each day ticks by and we DON'T Impeach and remove.

and I could be wrong. If Trump declares an emergency to build his stupid wall, his order will get tied up in Fed court in a NY minute and go no where. Since there is probably no money to run the courts, a Fed judge will simply put a hold on his order.

Pelosi will not allow an impeachment bill to go forward until the Mueller report is public, or at least shared with congress. And even then, she will route to the Judiciary committee. There would be public hearings to bring the public along.

Sooooooo -- we all just have to practice patience, which is a virtue. We all want Trump gone, gone, gone. And he will be. But it will be done in an orderly way, according to our law. So take a deep breath. Patience.
