STONE falsely and misleadingly answered, I did not. In truth and in fact, and as described above, STONE spoke to multiple individuals involved in the Trump Campaign about what he claimed to have learned from his intermediary to Organization 1, including the following:
a. On multiple occasions, STONE told senior Trump Campaign officials about materials possessed by Organization 1 and the timing of future releases.
b. On or about October 3, 2016, STONE wrote to a supporter involved with the Trump Campaign, Spoke to my friend in London last night. The payload is still coming.
c. On or about October 4, 2016, STONE told a high-ranking Trump Campaign official that the head of Organization 1 had a [s]erious security concern but would release a load every week going forward.

(8,756 posts)Is Organization 1 Wikileaks!?! Sorry if I sound surprised but this arrest is direct evidence of a conspiracy between Wikileaks and the trump campaign.
It blows the argument of no collusion to dust, especially with respect to Wikileaks, from far left talking heads like Glen Greenwald and Jordan Chariton.
FakeNoose
(32,917 posts)... and yes it blows away the argument of "no collusion." Mueller has been working this angle for quite some time. Steve Bannon was the one who brought Roger Stone into this because they needed somebody who could fly to London and speak directly to Assange. Stone wasn't working for the Trump campaign so he could be the contact and not get noticed. Mueller has tweets, texts, emails, and 3rd party witnesses, so it doesn't matter that Stone lied about it all.

(12,344 posts)So a chain leads from Trump campaign to Stone to Wikileaks to Russia. Only link not covered is from Russia back to Trump.
angrychair
(8,756 posts)But Putin and the Russian mafia (aka Russian oligarchy) is that direct link. You dont loan people hundreds of millions of dollars through your money laundering operations at deutsche bank and not expect something in return. The Wikileaks is just the how.

(12,344 posts)The only link that doesn't have one of those is the contact between Trump and Russia. Saving best for last?

(51,295 posts)WASHINGTON -- Trump campaign associates have denied coordinating with the Russians during the presidential election. But one of the presidents close friends and advisers is now acknowledging some contact with a Twitter handle U.S. officials considered a front for Russian intelligence.
Theres no collusion here, Roger Stone told CBS News correspondent Jeff Pegues, while he admitted to contact with Guccifer 2.0, the Twitter handle that released hacked election information believed stolen from Democratic Party servers.
At the time I had my one and only communications with it, Stone said.
Well wait a second, you had more than just one contact with this person, you had one, two, at least three between August 12th and September 9th, Pegues said.
Right, I would refer to it as an exchange, Stone replied.
That exchange appears to have started after Guccifers first account was suspended and then re-activated in mid-August.
and EXCLUSIVE: Lone DNC Hacker Guccifer 2.0 Slipped Up and Revealed He Was a Russian Intelligence Officer
Update, 7/13/2018: Special counsel Robert Muellers office identified Guccifer 2.0 as a Russian intelligence officer and indicted him along with 11 other officers for crimes related to the alleged hacking of Democrats in 2016.
Guccifer 2.0, the lone hacker who took credit for providing WikiLeaks with stolen emails from the Democratic National Committee, was in fact an officer of Russias military intelligence directorate (GRU), The Daily Beast has learned. Its an attribution that resulted from a fleeting but critical slip-up in GRU tradecraft.
That forensic determination has substantial implications for the criminal probe into potential collusion between President Donald Trump and Russia. The Daily Beast has learned that the special counsel in that investigation, Robert Mueller, has taken over the probe into Guccifer and brought the FBI agents who worked to track the persona onto his team.
