Too all of those who did not want Nancy Pelosi as Speaker,

it is time for you to back off and learn how the game in played. Pelosi has 32 years of experience in the House, you don't.
Some of the other names that were floated would have folded and given Trump a win in the name of "bi-partisanship".
You cannot be bi-partisan with Trump and McConnell. The Conservative sees the world as a zero sum game where they must have everything or else.

full of crap. Nancy handed him his balls, one of the young ones don't have the experience to do that the way she did.

He's a top player himself, so knows enough not to slug it out with her-- it would be a fight with no winner and just lots of losers.

The adults are actually in charge now, but they have a terrible toddler to deal with.

I wasn't zealously opposed to Pelosi's return as Speaker but came to realize at Christmas how wise it was for her to muster support and secure enough caucus votes to be elevated once more. Several members who originally opposed her return to the Speakership also did an about-face.

We opponents were wrong and you stated it perfectly, "You cannot be bi-partisan with Trump and McConnell."

That was the word repeatedly used to describe her, even here on DU. It is the word that is used to describe all female politicians.

What is weak is a man who cannot stand a strong woman and has to diminish her by calling her “weak”. And a woman who cannot stand that another woman has achieved more power in this sexist world than she has and also has to diminish her by calling her “weak”.

I am sick and tired of weak men and women. They gave us President Donald Trump. And they tried to take Speaker Pelosi away from us. If I explained how much contempt I have for such people, this message would not be fit to post here.

... as if our party's goal is to do things that make the GOP happy. All the Nancy-haters think we've forgotten... they waltz around as if nothing happened... but I remember who they are.

and as a supporter of her leadership - she used up a lot of political capital (notably with federal workers who are not deep followers of "politics" ) to do what she did but she is the rare one who has built up that capital through her decades in office. It was a gamble that she played expertly but there is still collateral damage out there now.
