Doesnt need anymore informers. He has so many flippers its like being in a pancake eating contest. Cooperators are only a little useful anyway. Without hard evidence Muellers investigation cant move.
Cooperators only are useful in filling in and giving a human angle to to an investigation like this at this point. One of Roger Stones problems is appearing even remotely human. One look at him and no matter what he says, no one will believe it. Mueller is better off with Stone just going to prison. So also is the American public.

Anyway, if the crimes Stone is charge with, and eventually convicted for, involve trump*, I don't see how a pardon is possible. I know there are few restrictions on his pardon power, but surely, that has to be one.

(7,549 posts)since interacting with Trump is likely an element of the criminal act. That would make Trump a co-conspirator.

(13,776 posts)If Stone is convicted of anything at all more than two years from now, whoever is president then wont want to pardon him.
I assume that would violate his right to a speedy trial, but not if evidence comes to light later in the investigation that would bolster a new case against him.
