In 2016, I worked on her campaign, maxes out my contributions and houses her Brooklyn staff in my home. I have great respect for her accomplishment and knowledge. But it would be a huge mistake for her to run now.
1. Having spoken to several Party Chairs, I know her campaign made serious tactical errors. After two losing campaigns, Im not confident shes learned the lessons (nb - DONT tell me she won: she got more votes, but thats not how you win Presidential Elecrions. She made mistakes in PA, OH, WI AND MI which we cant afford to surrender)
2. To change the electoral dynamic, she will have to essentially get some voters to admit they made a mistake by voting for Teump in 2016. Its far easier to give voters the equation of Trump vs an attractive Democratic and not re-litigate Trump v. Clinton.
Ive met with four Presidential prospects at this point, and will continue to do so, but Clinton will be off my list as a choice for nominee.

(8,690 posts)I was one of her strongest supporters back in 2016 but now we need a new voice and face. I hope she doesnt run but works with the Party and our nominee to ensure we win back the WH.

(21,602 posts)I will not support her in primary. Could you elaborate on mistakes made? I've seen multiple allusions to this from others but no details. Is it because she didn't campaign there during the later part of the campaign and ignored late polling data?

We need someone like Kamala Harris.

(37 posts)Popular vote, which should be the determining factor. Not saying I want her to run again, but she did rather well in 2016.
