Texas couple Aaron Lucero and Jeff Cannon thought they had found the perfect venue for their wedding. The Venue at Waterstone, in the city of Celina, was rustic and beautiful just what the gay couple was looking for.
They made plans to tour the location on Jan. 20. Suddenly they received an email, telling them they were not welcome anymore because of the owners deeply held religious beliefs, as reported by NBC.

"Before that, we never even thought that we needed to tell people that we were, you know, doing a same-sex wedding," Cannon told NBC. "We thought that a wedding is a wedding."

Yesterday, for the first time in my life, I personally experienced the ugly scourge of discrimination in this country, Lucero wrote in a joint message from the couple. It wasnt for the color of my skin, my religious beliefs, or my political affiliation...it was for who I wanted to marry.

(8,393 posts)I want to know if Mr. "Deeply-held religious beliefs" only allows weddings/receptions of virgins and people who've never been married then divorced.
And I'm a Presbyterian Elder who believes it's nobody's business who you love and who you're attracted to. Love is love.
