The RNC has basically made it so no trump challengers, yet, we haven't heard of ANY Republicans who

would challenge him for... more importantly, any GOPer (supposed old school Republicans which still agree with 90% of trump and his bullshit).. hasn't jumped out for an independent run. Instead we get this Schultz bullshit... a guy who is essentially a Republican but who is presenting himself as not to the uninformed and the media will oblige.

What bullshit.

but he won't actually do it.

None of them will challenge him, because they actually like the way things are going. The entire party is enjoying watching the whole country burn to the ground, since it doesn't affect them in any real way.

They just don't like people talking about it

a problem for them. None of them lose a thing, in fact, they profit, and they get to watch 'the poors' suffer, so it's a win/win for them.

waiting for Trump to potentially self-destruct, but they don't want to be too aggressive in fear of pissing of the Trump base.

Flake and Corker may be in the same boat.

if the GOP cancels the primary?

The way they circle their wagons around the disgusting orange maggot is mind boggling.

to eliminate competition to Trump's "reelection." That seems to have failed, but they have passed a resolution declaring complete support for Trump alone, no one else need apply.

As for Schultz, he's obviously considering running a populist campaign against Democrats (just as bad as Republicans), so if he runs we can once again expect a flood of lies from the candidate and, augmenting them, from Russia. He'll also have plenty of help from the false equalization messages much of the MSM are pushing.

Itm, turning to "happy thoughts," on Tuesday the House Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing about H. R. 1 and fixing U.S. democracy. We can't get rid of Citizens United yet, but we are taking the first steps to repealing/changing the laws Republicans enacted to use its corrupting influences to the max. Such as allowing secret foreign money to flow to Republican candidates through several different loopholes.

Btw, even the first, limited public funding of elections planned will enable both Democrats and, for the first time in years, principled conservatives to run. For years now, only those Republicans who pre-agree to the corruption required by right-wing donors have been able to run and get elected.

I seriously expect him to resign or impeachment begun before the end of next year.

And of course I’m always hoping Mueller and SDNY can put him in jail for life.
