You can't help but notice ...

... that the Republicans calling for Northam's resignation keep harping on his position on abortion.

It's not his alleged racism that sticks in their craw. After all, they're fine with the racism of their own "pResident" and their fellow GOPers.

It's only Democrats that think Northam should resign on the basis of racism - the Republicans are only interested in his pro-choice stance, because they think that's the far greater sin.

It's just hard to ignore that the GOP talking heads are out in force tonight kinda-sorta mumbling about Northam's racism, but are being very loud about his stance on access to abortion.

I guess they've figured out that they can't rile up their base with cries of racism - because racism is A-OK with most of their voters. So they had to tack on the pro-abortion label in order to get any traction with their own.
