So, in Virginia, Governors can only serve 1 term.

Does this make a difference in whether Northam should resign? Obviously this takes it a bit out of the moral issues and more into the political question (as does who would replace him) But it also begs the question as to how much impact this has since he wouldn’t be on the ballot next time anyway. Fair disclosure: my first instinct is he probably should step down and I’m suspecting he’s not gonna be able to ride this out. But I do wonder if this impacts people’s take.
