I will watch the SOTU speech tonight. Why?

1. Because Donald Trump is President, and what he decides to do has an impact on me and the Country.

2. Because a "virtuous" boycott will have no impact on TV ratings and will send no message.

3. Because Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer and Stacey Abrams will be watching.

My husband will watch because he wants Trump to "fall on his face". I want to watch the reactions on each side of the aisle.

I expect it to be pretty boring, with DJT reading off the teleprompter in a monotone voice. He's no good at it. I don't expect too many off-script moments.

Our roof antenna doesn't get counted in anybody's ratings either.

There are reasons to watch. For me, I just can't stand watching the turd for more than a few seconds. Doing anything. Maybe when he does something stupid, for a laugh. But to hear his voice, see his smirk, hear him lie with every utterance. Ugh. No thanks.

3. ABC morning show had a kryon that said HIV transmission would be stopped by 2030. Will he give any details?

And since I can only afford so much for groceries, I'd like to keep my food down.

Just looking at that POS triggers my PTSD, so I'm not going to subject myself to that. Besides, the important parts will be on the news 24/7 for at least a week, I'll end up seeing most of it anyway.
