Kellyanne Conway's husband blows up Trump's biggest lie about the border 'crisis'

On Tuesday morning, the president tweeted out that the United States needs a border wall to prevent “tremendous numbers of people” who are “coming up through Mexico in the hopes of flooding our Southern Border.”

George Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, responded to say that illegal border crossings are actually way down from the historic peaks they’ve reached in past decades.

In fact, the CPB says that illegal crossings at the Southwest border peaked at over 1.6 million in 2000 before going on a steady decline for the past two decades.

Over both the final years of the Obama administration and the first two years of the Trump administration, border crossings have fallen to levels not seen since 1972.
